Pikhai Mariya Aleksandrovna (April 25, 1928, Tomsk District - April 8, 2007, Krivoy Rog ) - operator of the rolling mill control post at the Krivorozhsky Metallurgical Plant named after V.I. Lenin of the Ministry of Ferrous Metallurgy of the Ukrainian SSR. Hero of Socialist Labor (1971).

Biography
Born April 25, 1928 in the Tomsk District of the Siberian Territory of the RSFSR [1] . Member of the CPSU .
She began her career at the Dolinskaya railway station in the Kirovograd region of the Ukrainian SSR. In 1948-1956 she worked in various positions, including in the movement service. She worked in the district committee of the Komsomol.
She graduated from the Krivoy Rog Metallurgical College. Since 1956, she began working at the Krivorozhstal metallurgical plant. Since the launch on August 1, 1956, the section rolling shop No. 1 (SPTs-1) worked as an operator of the rolling mill control post. She perfectly mastered the camera profession, trained operators for her workshop.
March 30, 1971, by Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR , Pikhai Maria Alexandrovna was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal "Hammer and Sickle."
Since 1978, retired.
Innovator of production, initiator of high-speed rolling. One of the best distributors of the Soviet Union. She conducted social work, was elected as a deputy of the Kryvyi Rih City Council . While retired, for 24 years worked as a secretary of the city council of veterans on a voluntary basis.
She died on April 8, 2007 in Krivoy Rog. She was buried at the Central cemetery of Krivoy Rog.
