About the tournament
Beginning in 1991, Belarusian championships began to be held once every two years, while dividing competitions in Russian and international drafts into annual championship stages. The summation of the points of the stages was not performed. Thus, in the XVII championship of Belarus in drafts composition at the 1st stage they competed in drafts-64, and the next year, in 2016, at the 2nd stage - in international .
The championship was held in order to:
- Identification of the best works created from April 10, 2013 to April 10, 2015.
- Definitions of the strongest drafts composers of the republic for the specified period.
- Improving the skill of drafts composers.
- Popularization of drafts by means of a drafts composition.
Competitions were held in 6 disciplines: miniatures, problems, lady problems, sketches, tasks and Brazilian problems-64.
In each of these disciplines (sections), the participant could submit no more than six works (compositions). Conditions for competitive selection: created independently or in collaboration, new or published after April 10, 2013, or participating in other competitions that ended after April 10, 2013.
