History

  • The station opened on September 30, 1913 as part of the Charles Michel - Port d'Otoy section, then part of line 8. On July 27, 1937, as a result of the reorganization of the metro lines on the left bank of Paris, the station became part of line 10.
  • Until May 15, 1921, the station was called "Wilham", by the pseudonym of the French musician Guillaume Louis Bosquillon Wilham. The renaming of the station was due to the fact that contrary to the truth, the Paris authorities associated this name with the German Kaiser Wilhelm II , as a result of which the new name became more neutral.

Passenger

The table below shows the information on passenger traffic at the entrance, taken from official reports [2] of the RATP .

According to RATP statistics, the station is consistently ranked last in terms of annual passenger input. This is partially explained by the historical layout of the station where the station is located: for example, due to the one-way train traffic through the station, in order to leave for the city center, you must either transfer to the next station Michelle-Ange - Otoy on line 9, or make a run to the station of Boulogne - Jean Jaurès . Therefore, for trips to the center, passengers often use the nearby Chardon Lagash or Mirabeau stations.
