Biography

After four seasons of the Uruguayan River Plate , Fernando moved to Atletico Madrid and made his debut in La Liga on April 10, 1995 in a match with Racing from Santander [2] . It was at Racing that Correa went on lease for two years, where he scored 27 goals, after which he returned to Madrid . However, the last season in Racing was the peak of performance for the player, and there was no more similar performance in his career [3] . Nevertheless, he managed to form an effective attacking pair with Diego Alonso in the 2001/2002 season in Segund , scoring 35 goals for two.
