History
The Union of the Comoros has no diplomatic relations with the Holy See. In 1999, the Holy See established the Apostolic Delegate to Comoros : the apostolic delegate is the papal representative in the local church, and not under the government of the country. The delegation of the delegation also includes the French island of Mayotte .
However, the apostolic delegate does not have an official residence in Comoros, in his capital Moroni , occasionally visiting the country. The residence of the apostolic delegate in Comoros is Antananarivo - the capital of Madagascar .
