The Apostolic Nuncio in Yugoslavia is a former diplomatic representative of the Holy See in Yugoslavia. Apostolic Nuncios in Yugoslavia before World War II

The Apostolic Nunciature in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (CXC) was established in 1920 by Pope Benedict XV , after the end of World War I , the collapse of Austria-Hungary and the formation of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes .

Apostolic Nuncios in Yugoslavia after World War II

After World War II, diplomatic relations between the Holy See and Yugoslavia were interrupted. However, in 1966, the Holy See established diplomatic relations with the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia , in the rank of the Apostolic Delegate.

On August 22, 1970, the Apostolic Delegate was elevated to the rank of Apostolic Nunciature.

With the collapse of Yugoslavia, the Holy See established diplomatic relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Slovenia, Croatia and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

However, in 2006, with the final collapse of Yugoslavia, the apostolic nunciature was abolished.
