This diplomatic post is held by the church-diplomatic representative of the Vatican as an ambassador . The Apostolic Nunciature in Seychelles was established on a permanent basis on July 27, 1984 .

History
The Apostolic Nunciature in Seychelles was established on July 27, 1984, in the Ut Ecclesiae ipsius log of Pope John Paul II . However, the apostolic nuncio does not have an official residence in the Seychelles, in its capital, Victoria and is an apostolic nuncio concurrently, occasionally visiting the country. The residence of the apostolic nuncio in the Seychelles is Antananarivo - the capital of Madagascar .
