Activities
The college is training regular officers of the Estonian Armed Forces and the Defense League, as well as for other military organizations. It is a leading Estonian educational institution specializing in military research and the development of military science.
The academic program provides balanced training for military and civilian subjects in order to train officers intellectually for military service in command posts. The teaching staff is assisted by scientists from leading Estonian universities. The training and living conditions of the cadets correspond to modern standards.
Curriculum
The college offers two courses:
- Basic officer training course : first level, lasts 3 years. Cadets learn the skills of platoon and company commanders. Upon graduation, they receive the rank of second lieutenant.
- Advanced officer training course : second level, lasts 2 years. Cadets learn the skills of battalion or brigade commanders.
After college, graduates have the opportunity to study two courses:
- Senior officer training course : third level, lasts a year. Cadets study at the Baltic Defense College.
- Higher officer training course : fourth level. Cadets study abroad at the highest officer courses.
