Evar Saar ( Est. Evar Saar ) or Evar Saar ( born Evar Saarõ , born August 16, 1969 ) is an Estonian linguist, researcher of the Võru language and journalist of a newspaper in the Võrumaa region [1]

Biography
He graduated from the University of Tartu. He has been an employee of the Vyru Institute since 1995. He traveled many times in the historical region of Võru County , collected more than 50 thousand proper names (names of people and names of settlements) used in the Russian language. Participant of many scientific conferences, one of the organizers of the seminar “Border Languages of the Baltic Sea and Finland” [2] .
He speaks German and English. Spouse Marika, daughter of Hipp [3] . In addition to linguistics, Saar is interested in biology: grows environmentally friendly grains and develops methods of fighting against rodents [4] . Cavalier of the Order of the White Star V class (2004).
