Geographical position
The village of Timoshkino is located on the Oksko-Don plain in the floodplain of the Pary River on its right bank 5.6 km south-east of the town of Shilovo . The distance from the village to the regional center of Shilovo by road is 13 km.
The village of Timoshkino is surrounded by a number of floodplain lakes, the largest of which are Lapushnoye, Svyatoye, Zhidyakinskoye and Borovetskoye. Kimbir Lake is located in the southern part of the village itself. To the north of Timoshkino is the tract Nevaya Suvratka, to the south - the tract Golodnoye, to the east - the tract Glubokoe Boloto and the forest (Rastorguev Les). The nearest settlements are the village of Shilovo , the village of Zheludevo and the village of Ibred .

Name Origin
The village of Timoshkino got its name from the first owner Timofei Shilovsky , who singled it out as a dowry to his daughter Maria, who married Stepan Argamakov, approx. 1576-1577 [3] “Timoshkino” is a possessive adjective on behalf of Timosh, Timokh, representing the folk form of the canonical name Timothy.
The nearby large lake Zhidyakinskoe , according to local legend, got its name from the robber Zhedyaki, who drowned his treasure in it. [four]
History
The village of Timoshkino on the river Pare was founded by Timofei Shilovsky approx. 1576-1577 as a dowry for her daughter Maria, who married Stepan Argamakov . It was first mentioned in 1584 in the court case of Timofei Shilovsky and Job Zapolsky with the royal clerk Andrei Sherefetdinov, as a wasteland that was a village. [3]
In the scribal books of 1629-1630. Timoshkino is already listed as a village man with a wooden Theological Church on the estate of the brothers Mikhail and Pavel Buzovlev and is described as follows:
“Behind Mikhail Nenashev’s son Buzovlev, sovereign Tsarev and Grand Duke Mikhail Fedorovich of All Russia import letters signed by the clerk Tretyak Korsakov ... an old evo estate and what was behind his brother Pavel Buzovlev’s two stallions in the village of Timoshkin, and in the village he was in the village of Timoshkin, and in the village on Tatyana’s land Rodivonova’s wife Buzovleva with her son Ivash, the church in the name of Ivan the Theologian is an old Kletska, and the church and the whole structure of worldly people, and church clerks live in the village of Timoshkin on Mikhailov’s land of Buzovlev: courtyard pop Ivan, courtyard pono ar, courtyard courtyard ... As can be seen from the document, the "village" of Timoshkino was small. In addition to the landowner’s yard and the church, it included the clerk’s yard, 3 clergymen’s yards and 6 peasant households.
According to salary books in 1676, in the village of Timoshkino there were already “ 3 courtyards of landowners, but 21 peasants ”. [5]
In 1799, on the site of the old dilapidated Theological Church in the village, a new wooden church was built in the old one.
By the beginning of the XIX century. Timoshkino village belonged to the landowners Felitov and Charykov . On May 5, 1839, the college adviser Anna Semenovna Felitova granted "free" to her serfs - one of the few cases in the territory of the Ryazan province. [6] A peculiar monument to this significant event for the peasants was the new stone John the Theological Church with chapels in the name of the Transfiguration of the Lord and the Great Martyr John the New, Belgorod, built at the expense of the same A. S. Felitova in 1831-1840.
In 1862, in the village of Timoshkino, a local priest John Klimentovich Paninsky founded a parish school , which later came under the jurisdiction of the zemstvo.
According to I.V. Dobrolyubov , by 1891 there were 334 yards in the village of Timoshkino, in which 1282 male souls and 1385 female souls lived. [5]
By 1913, there were already 407 farms in the village of Timoshkino, of which 11 were kulak, 312 middle peasant and 74 poor. The main occupation of the peasants of the village of Timoshkino was agriculture, some of the peasants, not breaking away from agriculture, were engaged in otkhodnichestvo. Part of the peasants during the winter period was hauling, transporting various cargoes. There was also a small handicraft industry in Timoshkino (oil mills, grain dryers, wool coasters, bakeries for baking rolls and bagels). [7]
Soviet power was established in the village of Timoshkino in November 1917. And in November 1918, local fists D.T. Bersenev, A.T. Bersenev and others, decided to take advantage of the discontent of the local peasantry with the surplus appraisal , and made an attempt to raise a counter-revolutionary rebellion with the aim of the overthrow of Soviet power. But the rebellion was suppressed, and its instigators shot. [7]
In 1929, the collective farm “Flame” was organized in the village of Timoshkino, whose branches were also located in the villages of Harinsky Rucheek and Krasnaya Olkhovka . Since 1937, services in the local Theological Church were discontinued, although officially it was not closed. Since 1938, the village of Timoshkino was radio-fueled, in 1960, a water supply was carried out in the village, and since 1962, electrification was carried out. [7]
