Biography
He was born on April 11 in 1898 in the village of Buldeevo of the Voskresensky volost of the Cheboksary district (now the Tsivilsky district).
He devoted more than half a century to the study of geology, minerals, engineering-geological and hydrogeological conditions of Chuvashia. He has published 8 books and monographs, more than 70 scientific articles that have still not lost their relevance and are used by scientists - geologists and practitioners.
Achievements
On the recommendation of the group led by I.K. Illarionov: • back in 1939, a site was chosen for the alignment of the future Cheboksary hydroelectric station; • he created geological maps of the districts of Chuvashia; • oil fields in the south-west of the republic; • discovered billions of reserves of phosphorites and oil shale; • tripoli deposits, molding sands, carbonate rocks; • discovered hydrogen sulfide and other sources and concluded that we are walking over giant reserves suitable for spa treatment.
