Artyom Lobov ( born Artem Lobov ; born August 11, 1986 , Gorky , RSFSR , USSR ) is an Irish fighter of mixed martial arts of Russian origin, who performed under the auspices of the UFC in light and light weight categories. Currently, she is a participant in the Bare Knuckle FC fist fighting tournaments, where she has a 2-0 record. Finalist of The Ultimate Fighter: Team McGregor vs. Fighting Tournament Team Faber ^[2] .

Biography

Born on August 11, 1986 in Gorky ( RSFSR ).

At age 14, for family reasons, he left for Argentina , and two years later he moved to Ireland . For the first time I tried myself in martial arts at the age of 21, doing all kinds of activities a bit, but giving preference to boxing ^[3] .

Sports career

Lobov trains in the team of Irish fighter Conor McGregor and is his main sparring partner ^[4] ^[5] .

Ultimate Fighting Championship

December 11, 2015 Artyom Lobov made his debut in the UFC, in the final of the 22nd season of The Ultimate Fighter, in a fight against Rain Hall. The battle ended with Hall's victory by unanimous decision.

In the next match, which took place on February 6, 2016 at the UFC Fight Night: Hendricks vs. Thompson, Lobov was again defeated by unanimous decision from American White.

At UFC 202, on August 20, 2016, Lobov defeated Chris Avila by unanimous decision.

On November 19, 2016, Artyom Lobov defeated the Japanese fighter Teruto Ishiharu by unanimous decision ^[6] .

April 22, 2017 as part of the UFC Fight Night: Swanson vs. Lobov spent the main fight of the evening against the experienced American Caba Swanson ^[3] .

On October 21, 2017, at the UFC Fight Night 118 tournament, Artyom Lobov lost to Andre Fili by unanimous decision ^[7] .

On January 29, 2019, it was announced that Lobov was leaving the UFC. ^[eight]

On April 6, 2019 in Biloxi ( USA ), Artyom Lobov made his debut at the Bare Knuckle FC tournament - fist fights (bare fists), winning by unanimous decision (score: 48-46 (twice) and 48-47) over his former UFC colleague American Jason Knight in the main match of the tournament Bare Knuckle FC 5 ^[9] .

On June 22, 2019 in Tampa (USA), Artyom Lobov defeated unanimous boxing judges Paul Malignaggi by unanimous decision - this fight led the Bare Knuckle FC 6 tournament ^[10] .
