Sergei Mikhailovich Serebryakov (1896-1966) - major general, laureate of the State (Stalin) Prize of 1 degree for outstanding inventions and radical improvements in production methods [1] .

Biography
Born in Kirzhach in the family of a hereditary weaver.
During the Great Patriotic War, he was a member of the commission on the implementation of defense proposals. The jet mines developed under his leadership were first used in the summer of 1942 near Uritsky and inflicted significant damage on the enemy.
He was the deputy chief of the testing ground in Leningrad.
In 1943 he was recalled from Leningrad and appointed head of the artillery testing institution, then deputy head of scientific and testing work of another similar, but larger institution.
11/18/1944 awarded the title of Major General of the Engineering and Artillery Service.
He was buried in St. Petersburg at the Porokhovsky cemetery .

Brother - Peter (1894-1978) - Secretary of the Central Bank of the Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of Belarus (1920-1921).
Wife - Olga Vasilievna Rudakova (1908-1991); children:
- Vyacheslav (b. 1930), wife Galina (1930), their daughter Tatyana (1954) and their son Sergei (1965) lived in St. Petersburg
- Inna (born 1933), husband Yuri Romanov (1933), their son Mikhail (1955) and daughter Elena (1961) lived in St. Petersburg.
Rewards
He was awarded the orders: Lenin, Red Banner, World War 1 degree, two orders of the Red Star, the anniversary medal "XX years of the Workers and Peasants Red Army", the medal "For the Defense of Leningrad", the medal "For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 ”, a medal of the Stalin Prize laureate and other awards.
