Yuri Borisovich Kuznetsov (born January 31, 1965 , Moscow , USSR ) is a Russian professional hockey player . Champion of Russia in 2002 as part of the Yaroslavl "Locomotive".

Biography
In the USSR Major League, Yuri Kuznetsov made his debut in the 1985/86 season for the Moscow Wings of the Soviets. He played for the team until 1993. He also spent several matches for the teams of the second league “Buran” Voronezh and “Crystal” Elektrostal. In 1993 he moved to the Swedish club Björkleven, playing in the major league. From 1994 to 1997 - a player in the Helsinki club HIFK. He played 153 matches for this team in the Finnish League, scored 21 goals and gave 44 assists. In 1997, he signed a contract with another Finnish major league club, Saipa. He spent 5 seasons for the club, scored 32 goals in 251 games and gave 73 assists. In 2002 he moved to Yaroslavl “Locomotive”. In the Russian championship in 2002, he played 20 matches in the regular season, noting 2 goals and one assists, as well as 9 matches in the playoffs, as part of the team becoming the owner of gold medals of the national championship. He spent the 2002/03 season in Mestis for the Hockey club, after which he completed his hockey career.
