The river and its valley formed under the influence of glaciers during the last glaciation. Dlaboki Valley is the only place in Northern Macedonia where the alpine climate dominates [3] . It flows near the abandoned village of ужužné, then the valley of the river narrows, forming a canyon between the villages of Nystrovo and Bibai, and then flows into Ribnička. The volume of water is significantly affected by the melting of snow and ice on the eastern slope of the Mal-Korab peak. The highest current velocity and the largest water flow are observed in late May - early June.
