“Ryazanskaya” is a transport interchange hub (TPU) under construction, which, according to some sources, will become the largest in Moscow [3] [4] (however, this title is disputed by other TPUs under construction - “ Okruzhnaya ” [5] [6] , “ Moscow City " [7] [8] and" Salaryevo " [9] ) and in Europe [10] . The first phase of the Ryazanskaya interchange hub is planned to open in 2019 [11] .

Location

The transportation hub will be located on the border of two districts of the Southeast administrative district of Moscow : Nizhny Novgorod and Lefortovo [12] . TPU territory is limited to Ryazan Avenue , Frezer highway and the Small Ring of the Moscow Railway . Previously, it housed garages, a department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and a warehouse base [12] .

Structure

TPU will include [13] :

  • the cross-platform metro station Nizhegorodskaya of the Nekrasovskaya and Bolshaya Koltsevaya lines (under construction, opening for the Nekrasovskaya line is planned in 2020);
  • MCC Nizhny Novgorod station (valid);
  • the Karacharovo station of the Gorky direction of the Moscow Railway (acts as an intermediate, in the future it may become a zone) [14] ;
  • public business 45-story building with an area of 65 thousand m² (planned) [10] ;
  • retail premises with an area of 14 thousand m² (planned) [10] ;
  • parking for 500 cars (planned).

Features

All TPU facilities will be located on an area of 22.6 hectares [12] . The total area of the TPU itself will be 125 [13] –137 [15] thousand m², of which about 30 thousand m² will be occupied directly by the technological part serving for boarding, transferring and disembarking passengers [13] . Traffic flows from all TPU sections will lead to an underground distribution hall with an area of about 7 thousand m² [16] , which will be located at a depth of 6 meters, so that it will be possible to transfer to all types of transport (with the exception of ground public transport, the stops of which will be located on the surface ) without rising from the ground [13] [15] . The underground station will house ticket offices, a passenger terminal and a waiting room [16] . As of August 2018, the construction of the underground lobby of the portable Karacharovo station is underway with access to the surface on both sides of the railway [17] .

The estimated passenger flow of the unit is from 90,000 [15] to 125,000 [18] passengers per hour and about 600 thousand passengers per day [10] . Investments in the project amount to about 8.5 billion rubles [13] .

Construction

The construction of the metro station was started in 2014, commissioning is planned in 2020 [19] .

The construction of the MCC station was started in 2015, commissioning took place in 2016 along with the opening of passenger traffic of electric trains along the MCC [20] [21] . At the same time, the MCC Nizhny Novgorod station was built with a temporary exit (which in the future will become an emergency exit). The main entrances / exits with an escalator slope and elevators will be built after the construction of the underground part of the metro stations is completed - backlogs are left for them (2 square holes in the platform for elevator shafts and 2 rectangular holes for the stairs and the escalator slope).

From May 19, 2018, the Karacharovo stopping point was closed to passengers. On October 15, a new relocated platform [22] , partially located under the MCC overpass, began to operate. Passengers exit to the platform through an underpass equipped with turnstiles and ticket machines. On December 10, 2018, a second platform was opened, and a third was under construction. A fully stopping point opened in early 2019 [14] , and the tracks were completed at the end of May. As a result, 3 platforms appeared on the Karacharovo zone station, serving 6 through tracks [23] . The station may become the terminal for a number of trains, which will allow to unload the Kursky station [24] [25] .

It is planned to build a multi - level interchange with a turnover overpass on Ryazansky Prospekt and a two-way road for entry and exit from Ryazansky Prospekt to a transfer hub [15] . In 2019, it is planned to begin construction of a four-lane road to TPU from the Third Transport Ring [26] .
