Society of Physicists of the Republic of Macedonia ( Macedonia Drushtvo on a physicite on the Republic of Macedonia, Drushtvo na Fizicharite na Republika Makedonija ) is a scientific and educational organization created in 1949 in the capital of Macedonia - the city of Skopje . The organization’s headquarters is located in the building of the University of Saints Cyril and Methodius: in the premises of the Institute of Physics at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics [1] [2] .

Content
Activities
The Society of Physicists of the Republic of Macedonia acts as an intermediary organization between everyone who works in the field of physics or physical sciences in the country. It also acts as the organizer of the regional (since 1967) and national (since 1957) physics competition for students in primary and secondary schools of the country. Each year, more than 500 Macedonian students join this cycle of competition - and, as a result, the academic committee appointed by the Society of Physicists selects the four best of them. The winners are part of the Macedonian delegation at the International Physical Olympiad . The leader of this team is elected among the members of the Society: in the late XX - early XXI centuries, this post was held by Professor Victor Urumov (from 1995 to 2011 he was the leader, and from 2014 to the present - deputy head of the team) and Stanish Velikovich (since 2012 until today). Since the independent Republic of Macedonia first sent a team to the International Physical Olympiad, its representatives have won one bronze medal and five letters of honor.
The Society of Physicists of the Republic of Macedonia leads the biennial conference of the Society of Physicists, which is often attended by many famous physicists from around the world. Conferences usually last from three to five days.
Organization
The Society of Physicists selects its board and fills vacancies in key positions from all its members once every two years - at regular general meetings. The Society is organized in such a way that the Executive Council, the Academic Committee (responsible, in particular, for the organization of school competitions in physics) and the Editorial Board (engaged in the publication of the printed materials of the Society and related tasks) constantly operate in it. In turn, the President of the Company, his secretary and treasurer of the Society of Physicists are elected from among the members of the executive board. The current president of the Society of Physicists of the Republic of Macedonia is Professor Nays Stoyanov.
The organization’s headquarters is located in the university building in Saints Cyril and Methodius: in the premises of the Institute of Physics at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
Mission
The organization defines its mission as "the progress and dissemination of knowledge in the field of physics - as well as the natural sciences, in general - and the improvement and protection of the environment ."
Publications
The Society of Physicists of the Republic of Macedonia publishes two journals : Impulse and the Macedonian Physics Teacher. In addition, the association has another great publication activity: it includes books and research papers on physics and various other topics.
