French Chess Championship 2000

The 75th championship of France was held in Vichy from August 15 to 24, 2000 .

The participants of the championship were divided into two groups of eight chess players in each. The first four in each group qualified in the next step. In the final, chess players played only against members of another qualification group. Points scored are summarized.
