However, the All- Nepal Football Association was unable to register Three Star Club , who won the qualification round group B, for the qualifying playoffs [2] , and the Bhutan Football Federation replaced the Tertons club, which won the qualification round group C, with Thimphu City . The Mongolian club Erchim , who took 2nd place in Group B of the qualification round, got the opportunity to take part immediately in the group stage of the tournament.

14 clubs took part in the qualifying playoffs (1 club from the qualification round and 13 new clubs). During the games at this stage, 5 teams were identified that will participate in the group tournament from their zones (one team from the zones of West, Central and South Asia, as well as two teams from the zone of Southeast Asia).

34 clubs will take part in the group stage of the tournament (5 clubs from the qualifying play-offs (+1 club from the qualifying round) and 28 new clubs). The teams were divided into 8 groups: 3 groups of 4 teams for West Asia, 1 group of 4 teams for Central, 1 group of 4 teams for South, 2 groups of 4 and 1 group of 3 teams for the Southeast Asia zone and 1 group of 3 teams for East Asia.
