About the speaker ( lat. De Oratore ) - a treatise by Mark Tullius Cicero , dedicated to oratory. It is a fundamental work of Cicero on this subject, which reveals the basics of the mastery of eloquence.
The treatise was written in the form of a dialogue between Lucius Licinius Crassus and Mark Anthony , which allegedly took place in the summer of 91 BC. e., shortly before the death of Crassus. Cicero published it in 55 BC. e. and dedicated to his brother Quintus .
