Geography

The village of Aramashka of the Rezhevsk Urban District Municipality is located 18 kilometers (on a highway 20 kilometers) north-northeast of the city of Rezh , on both banks of the River Rassoha (left-hand tributary of the River Rezh ). In the village there is a pond. In the vicinity of the village, 2 kilometers southeast, the Ekaterinburg-Alapaevsk highway passes [2] .

Village history

In 1882, the village became the village of Aromashkovskoye , withdrew from the parish of the village of Glinskoe , and together with the parishioners of the village of Zhukova , 3 versts from the village, formed its parish [3] .

At the beginning of the 20th century, the main occupation of the villagers was arable farming [3] .

School

A wooden chapel in the name of the Protection of the Mother of God, which stood in the village for a long time, in 1887 was adapted to the premises of the parochial school, which was opened in the same in 1887 [3] .

Peter and Paul Church

In 1880, a stone, monastery church was founded, which was built and consecrated in honor of the holy apostles Peter and Paul in 1884. At the beginning of the 20th century for the clergy there were two wooden houses [3] .

The first priest was Viktor Gorgonovich Gorny, a graduate of 1869 of the Yekaterinburg Theological School, and the psalm reader was Valentin Nikolaevich Speransky, a graduate of the same religious institution in 1890. The clergy received a salary from the parishioners. In 1923, Father Victor died and was buried in the temple. Father Fyodor replaced him at his post, but in the 1930s he was arrested [4] .

The temple was closed in 1930, in the same year it was demolished, and a country club was built from the brick of the temple and on its place. In the 1970s, the Victory Park was laid out on the site of the church, and a stone was laid at the burial place of Victor’s father. In 1984 a stela was installed in the park. In 2002, a worship cross was installed on the site of the altar of the destroyed temple [4] .
