Description
Small beetles (1–3 mm), roundish-oval in shape, with a wide convex prosternum and strongly diverging keeled grooves, wide mesosternal protrusion. They have a cylindrical obliquely truncated mace of antennae, forehead with longitudinal depression near the inner edge of the eyes and an eye keel, elytra without grooves [1] .
Systematics
6 types. Monophyletic group of the subfamily Hetaeriinae . Hippeutister is similar to the genus Poneralister . The valid status of the genus was confirmed during an audit conducted in 2008 by entomologists Michael S. Caterino and Alexei Tishchechkin ( Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History , Santa Barbara , USA ) [1] .
