Achieving this goal is carried out "through customer surveys and market research, the implementation of norms and laws, the introduction of new products and technologies." The company satisfies "human needs for a healthy diet and improves the quality of life of everyone and society as a whole."
Company Position
According to the company itself, Koestlin sells half of its products in foreign markets: in Slovenia , Bosnia and Herzegovina , Macedonia , the USA , Sweden , Canada, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, Serbia , Israel, Jordan, Australia , the United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, Austria , Switzerland .
In 2017, Koestlin increased its stake in Maraska: the ownership of Koestlin's shares in Maraska during the year will be increased from 21.9 to 45.3 percent. It is assumed that the shareholders of Marasca at a general meeting scheduled for June 13 will decide to increase the authorized capital. Due to the size of Maraska's debt to Koestlin and the inability to pay such amounts first, the company offered Koestlin management a recapitalization plan: Koestlin management accepted the offer in mid-April 2017. Deloitte was selected as the audit company for the transaction [2] .
Development Concept
In its own words, Koestlin is a successful company with traditions that have existed for more than a hundred years. According to its view of its own future, the company will try to keep one of the leading places in the Croatian confectionery market with its results, as well as to maintain first place in the production of flour confectionery. To do this, it is necessary both to maintain the production of its most famous products, which in terms of price and quality will satisfy the needs of Croatian and world consumers, and to satisfy the needs of its employees. Russia , and its confectionery market, is particularly distinguished by Koestlin in terms of development prospects.
Koestlin considers possession of the export number issued in 2004 and the introduction of a hazard analysis system for checkpoints to be an advantage in the export market, thanks to which preventive safety control of manufactured products is carried out. And IFS (International Food Standard) certification allows the company to operate in the European Union market.
In addition to its licensed laboratory for product testing and analysis, Koestlin collaborates with the Faculty of Food Biotechnology at the University of Zagreb - also with other institutions associated with the Croatian confectionery industry.
