Basetliya is a Belarusian folk stringed musical instrument of the bass register. Sometimes it is described as a kind of cello , to which the bassetella is close in shape and size. It has four strings; there may be marks on the neck. The sound is extracted with a short straight bow. The instrument is used in folk music ensembles. Among Ukrainians, he is known as a bass . The musician’s bassettle is depicted on the 18th-century Belarusian icon “ Our Lady with the Choir of Angels” [1] . Basetlya is depicted on the postage stamp of the USSR of 1989 with a face value of 10 kopecks along with other Belarusian folk musical instruments. There is also a theatrical performance of Basetl.
