Biography
Charles Quinton "Charlie" Murphy was born July 12, 1959 in Brooklyn, New York [7] . As a teenager, he spent ten months in prison [8] . In 1978, when Murphy was released from prison [9] , he was enrolled in the US Navy and served for 6 years as a boiler technician [10] [11] .
Known for such films and TV shows " Night at the Museum ", "Stars of the bar" and " 1000 ways to die ." The actor of the show " Shappella Show ". Charlie is also known for his work with his younger brother Eddie Murphy [12] [13] [14] [15] [16] .
On August 12, 1997, Charlie married Tishe Taylor. The spouses had two joint children - a son Xavier Murphy (born 1998/9) and a daughter Eva Murphy (born 2005/6), Murphy also had a child from a previous relationship [4] . On December 13, 2009, Murphy’s wife, Tisha, died of cervical cancer [4] .
After the death of his wife, Charlie was diagnosed with leukemia . On the morning of April 12, 2017, Murphy died from the complications of the disease in a New York hospital at the age of 57 [17] [18] .
