He studied at the Lavra icon painting workshop (under Zakhary Golubovsky). From 1825 he began to work there, later also heading it for 10 years. Fulfilled the order of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, other monasteries, churches, as well as individuals. Famous works: portraits of Catherine I , Dmitry Rostovsky , Alexander Nevsky , the icon "Assumption of the Virgin", "Guardian Angels", "Christ in the crown of thorns." After the death of Aaronsky, 70 unfinished portraits remained.
