Mail for the site

The service allows you to create corporate email for free by deploying up to 5,000 mailboxes of unlimited size on the company's domain. Mail can be used via the web interface ^[3] . Each user can choose their own mailbox theme (the service offers more than one hundred options).

Applications are available for all popular mobile platforms: iOS , Android , Windows Phone , bada , Symbian . Also, "Mail for the site" can be used through third-party clients that support the IMAP , POP3 / SMTP protocols . Online work with attachments is supported: users can view and edit them directly in Mail.

Together with the mailbox, the user is provided with access to the Mail.Ru Calendar and the Mail.Ru Agent messenger, as well as the ability to use the cloud space in the Mail.Ru Cloud . In Mail.Ru Agent, you can exchange instant messages and create general conferences. The Mail.Ru calendar allows you to schedule meetings and invite participants to them, as well as create joint calendars to manage common tasks. In Mail.Ru Cloud, you can create files and folders and share them ^[4] .

Just like a mailbox, all three services are accessible from both work computers and mobile devices.

The work of mail is protected by an anti-spam system, which allows you to filter all unwanted messages and emails with malicious content. Access to mail through third-party clients using the IMAP, POP3 and SMTP protocols is carried out only over a secure SSL connection ^[5] .

For increased security, the user can enable two-factor authentication . In this case, when you first log into the account from the new device, you will need to enter the code received in the SMS message ^[6] . In mobile applications for smartphones on iOS and Android, it is possible to restrict access to mail by fingerprint or PIN code ^[7] . In December 2015, an additional Android application Mail.Ru Access Code was released, which generates codes for two-factor authentication based on the TOTP ( Time-based One-Time Password ) algorithm. This method is an alternative to receiving a code in SMS ^[8] .

“Mail for the site” is also included in the paid vulnerability search program, which is conducted in collaboration with the HackerOne community ^[9] .

The administrator can create, delete and block users, as well as recover passwords to domain mailboxes, create groups for communication and add new administrators.

Mail.Ru Group provides the ability to delegate a domain. After that, its operability will be provided by Mail.Ru Group servers, and DNS records will be configured automatically.

The migration process allows companies to transfer correspondence from any other POP3 / IMAP server to Mail for the Site.

The “Mail for the site” Mail.Ru Group can also be connected by educational institutions as part of the “Mail.Ru for Education” project launched in 2014. They have the same opportunities as companies. At the same time, there is no advertising in the Mail interface.

The first Russian university that connected the Post to the Site was the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas ^[10] .
