Description
The Nightingale Grove is located near Aleksandrovka , part of the Proletarsky district of the city. In the 1970s, the territory of the Nightingale Grove was planted with peonies and spruces [2] . In early 2013, it was reported that a new park should be created at the grove site. Squirrels are one of the fauna representatives, they are quite common in this area.
Green areas of the park cover 54 hectares [3] . After construction work, the grove area should be reduced to 18 hectares, which was opposed by city residents, and it is these 18 hectares that appear in official documents as Alexander grove, whereas the entire 54 hectare site is called Alexander nursery [1] .
