Hairy wolfberry ( Latin Cymatocarpus pilosissimus ) is a type species of annual herbaceous plants of the Cabbage family ( Brassicaceae ).

The stem is 20–90 cm high, erect and sinuous, covered with simple long hairs of white color.
Leaves, in the lower part of the stem, petiolate, ovoid or elliptical, with a blunt tip, upper leaves with short petioles, oblong-oval, with pointed ends, clearly dentate at the base, the uppermost leaves of almost linear shape. All the leaves below along the midrib are scattered and hairy.
Inflorescence brush with 20-30 flowers, shchitkoobraznaya during flowering, later greatly elongated. Pedicels 6–12 mm long. Sepals are yellowish, about 3 mm long, with wide webbed margins. Petals up to 6 mm long, yellow-gray tint.
Fruits are pods rejected or trailing, up to 5 cm long and up to 2 mm wide. The seeds are about 1.5 mm long and about 1 mm wide, about 0.5 mm thick.
Endemic of Central Asia. It grows in the Karakum Desert and the mountainous regions of Turkmenistan . Found in the vicinity of the city of Serdar in western Turkmenistan.
