Kozin, Robert Borisovich

Born in p. Bashmakovo (now - the Penza region).

He graduated from the Moscow Agricultural Academy named after KA Timiryazev (1955). Then, until 1961, he worked as the chief zookeeper of the Bogoroditsky state farm in the Tula region. After graduating from the graduate school and defending his thesis at the alma mater in 1963, the dean of the zooengineering faculty of the Belarusian Agricultural Academy .

In 1966–1998, senior scientific secretary of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences , then Rosselkhozakademii . Since 1998, Professor of the Department of Genetics and Breeding MGAVMiB , and in 2001-2012 the head of the department of beekeeping, fish farming, diseases of bees and fish, then recreated at the faculty of animal science and agribusiness, but then attached to the department of small livestock breeding, known as the department of small livestock breeding, beekeeping and fish farming ^[2] .

Consisted member of two dissertation councils. Under the direction of R. B. Kozin, 4 doctors and 16 candidates of sciences defended their dissertations ^[3] .

He is a vice-president of the Association of Beekeepers of Russia and an academician of the International Academy of Beekeeping and Apifitoterapii. He was Deputy Chairman of the Apiculture Section of the Russian Agricultural Academy and Vice-President of the Russian People’s Academy of Sciences. He was a member of the expert council of the Higher Attestation Commission on Agricultural Sciences ^[4] .

He was awarded the medals "Veteran of Labor" and "For the 850th anniversary of Moscow." Died August 23, 2016 at home .

Author of more than 200 scientific works, including seven books, including the monograph “The biological bases of intensive beekeeping” (1995), the textbook “Physiologically active products of the bee family” (2001), a textbook for students of higher agricultural institutions in the field of zootechny and veterinary medicine “ Workshop on beekeeping "(2005, from" Lan ")," Encyclopedia of Honey "(2006), a textbook for university students in the specialties of zootechny and veterinary medicine" Biology of a Honey Bee "(2007, because of" Lan "), textbook "Beekeeping" (2010, due to "Lan ").
