History

The territory where the modern village is located, until 1744 belonged to the Edzhansky Murza ( princes Urusov). The history of the village was studied and described by the local teacher and poetess Zulkhabira Faridovna Izhberdieva, the granddaughter of the last representative of the Urusovs, in the book “Kelechim Minem - My Kilinci” [1] .

The Yurt tribes of the Tulga and the Kelechi tribe, by which the village was named, predominated in the village. There is also a folk etymology - a version about the origin of the name of the village from the call of Kil-Ache! 'move around!' to the inhabitants of neighboring Moshaik at the end of the XVIII century , when the village was founded (the date of official foundation is considered November 7, 1787 ) [2] . Administratively part of the Astrakhan district .

The mosque was built for 23 years, not only Muslims , but also representatives of other faiths took part in raising funds and the construction itself [3] .
