Sebastian Marek Karpinyuk ( Polish. Sebastian Marek Karpiniuk ; December 4, 1972 , Kolobrzeg , Poland - April 10, 2010 , near the Smolensk-Northern airfield, Smolensk , Russia ) - Polish politician, member of the Sejm V and VI convocations. He died in a plane crash of the Polish presidential plane TU-154 , crashed near Smolensk.

Biography
Born December 4, 1972 in Kołobrzeg .
He graduated from the Faculty of Administration and Law at the University of Gdansk . In the 1990s, he was a participant in the Liberal Democratic Congress , which later on merged with the Democratic Union Party in the Union of Freedom . Since 2001, he was a member of the Civic Platform Party.
He was nominated in the 2001 parliamentary elections to the Seimas according to the lists of the “Civil Platform”, but unsuccessfully. In the 2005 parliamentary elections , he was elected a deputy to the Seimas Sept. 5 of the Polish convocation from the Koszalin electoral district No. 40. In the 2007 early parliamentary elections , he was elected to the Seimas 6th convocation.
On April 10, 2010, as part of the Polish delegation headed by the President of Poland Lech Kaczynski , he went to Russia on a private visit to the mourning events on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre . When landing at the airport Smolensk-North plane crashed . In a plane crash no one survived.
April 21, 2010 was buried in a cemetery in his hometown.
Memory
April 16, 2010 was posthumously awarded the Order of the Renaissance of Poland .
On April 28, 2010, by the decision of the city council of Kolobrzeg, the name of Sebastian Karpinyuk was assigned to the city football stadium [1] .
