Erzhebet Schaar ( Hungarian Schaár Erzsébet ; July 29, 1905 , [1] - August 29, 1975 , Budapest ) - Hungarian sculptor, winner of the Mihai Munkachi Prize (1962), Honored Sculptor of the Hungarian People's Republic (1972).

Biography
She studied with the master Zhigmond Kishfaludi-Strobl . The winner of the Blue Prize (1932) as the best young artist, that year organized her first professional exhibition and attracted the attention of specialists. In 1935 she married the sculptor Tibor Vilt. The author of a number of sculptures depicting female figures, love couples and dead soldiers. To create life-size sculptures, I used lightweight polystyrene, which could be easily cut. In 1970, she held an exhibition in the Müczarnok Hall in Budapest, and two years later an exhibition was held in Antwerp and Geneva. In 1977, after the death of Shaar, the exhibition was held in Duisburg at the Wilhelm Lembrook Museum . Famous sculptures by Shaar are in Budapest, Kecskemét, Miskolc, Pec, Tihany and other cities. A significant part of the works - exhibits of the museum named after King Stephen the Holy.
