Football career

Draycott became a player in the Berzle Port Vale club in the summer of 1890. [1] He made his debut for the club on September 29, 1890 in a friendly match against West Bromwich Albion . Total spent for the club 9 matches and scored two goals [1] .

In June 1891, he moved to Stoke , where he played for three seasons, but played only in two matches of the Football League [2] . In June 1894, he moved to the Burton Wanderers club, scoring 3 goals in 54 matches.

In May 1896, he moved to Newton Heath . He made his debut for the club on September 1, 1896 in a match against Gainsborough Trinity . He scored his first goal for the club four days later in a match against Burton Swifts . In the 1896/97 season, he scored 5 goals in the league and helped the team to take 2nd place in the Second Division standings, but in the “test matches” for the right to enter the top divisionpagans "ceded" Sunderland . " In the seasons 1897/98 and 1898/99 , Newton Heath finished in 4th place in the Second Division. Total spent for the "Newton Heath" 95 matches and scored 6 goals [3] . In 1899 he moved to the club " Bedminster ".

In 1900, he became a Bristol Rovers player. A year later, he moved to Wellingborough , and then to Luton Town [4] .
