Beginning of the path

Mikhail Urzhumtsev was born in Leningrad on May 16, 1944 in an acting family: his grandmother Maria Filippova-Zaretskaya and grandfather Arkady Kastalsky-Arbelov are artists of the 2nd studio of the Moscow Art Theater , his mother is an actress of the St. Petersburg Theater. In 1963, Mikhail Urzhumtsev entered the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography (course of Z. Ya. Korogodsky ), became the best artist of the course. LGITMiK graduated in 1967. In the same year, at the Lenfilm studio, Urzhumtseva was noticed by Gennady Poloka , immediately proposing a role in “Intervention” . Theater

Since 1968, Mikhail Urzhumtsev - artist of the Murmansk Theater of the Northern Fleet . For 2 years in this theater he played many roles: vibrant and diverse. 1998-1999

January 21, 1999 Mikhail Vasilievich Urzhumtsev died of a stroke. The artist is buried in the cemetery in memory of the victims on January 9 in St. Petersburg.
