Biography
Born on June 30, 1945 in Leningrad in the family of a naval officer Alexander Semenovich Bronevitsky (1899-1972), engineer-captain of the first rank.
After graduation, he entered the Military Mechanics Institute , which after six months left school. He studied at the Leningrad Hydrometeorological Institute for three years and also did not finish his diploma - the example of his elder brother Alexander Bronevitsky , once contrary to the wishes of his father who chose the path of a professional musician, told.
In 1966, Eugene responded to the invitation of the former guitarist of the ensemble " Friendship " Anatoly Vasiliev and joined the created vocal and instrumental ensemble " Singing Guitars ". It was assumed that VIA would play songs with modern youth rhythms and engage in processing Western hits - which was quite suitable for the novice bass player.
In 1975, due to creative innovations, the classical composition of the VIA “Singing Guitars” broke up, and Yevgeny Bronevitsky left for ten years as a bass player in the ensemble “ Friendship ”, led by his older brother Alexander Bronevitsky . This was followed by a series of different groups, including groups such as “Master” and “Forward”, until in late 1989, Edita Peha invited Eugene to her team. In the spring of 1997, part of the musicians, mainly from the old song staff of “ Singing Guitars ”, decided to reunite under the same name. In the updated team, Evgeny Bronevitsky took the place of not only the bass player, but also the oldest member.
