Francois Rebsamen ( French: François Rebsamen ; born June 25, 1951) - French politician and statesman, Minister of Labor (2014–2015), Mayor of Dijon (2001–2014, from 2015).

Biography
Born June 25, 1951 in Dijon, received a master's degree in public law and a DESS diploma in economic sciences and a diploma in political science. In the early 1970s, he took up politics in the ranks of the Revolutionary Communist League [1] .
He soon joined the Socialist Party and later headed the apparatus of the Minister of the Interior from 1984 to 1991, .
In 1992, he became deputy director of the staff of Laurent Fabius .
In 1997, he was elected Secretary General of the Socialist Party and remained in this position until 2007.
In 1998-2008 - Member of the General Council of the Department of Côte d'Or .
From 2001 to 2014 - mayor of Dijon.
In 2008-2014, he was the senator of France from the Côte d'Or department, in 2011-2014 he led the socialist faction in the upper house of parliament.
On April 2, 2014, at the age of 62, he first entered the government: he was appointed Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Dialogue in the government of Manuel Waltz [2] .
On August 10, 2015, the newly elected mayor of Dijon, Rebsmen took office and a few days later left the ministerial portfolio [3] .
