Shamkhalbulak (variant of Shamkhal-Bulak ) is a disbanded village in the Kumtorkalinsky district of Dagestan . Destroyed by an earthquake in 1970, the population was relocated to the newly built Uchkent village.

Geographical position
It was located 5.5 km southwest of the village of Uchkent .
History
In 1928, it was part of the Kapchugai Village Council of the Buinaksky District [1] . Kirov Agricultural Cartel [2] . Since 1935, as part of the Ekibulak village council of the Kizilyurt region. It was completely destroyed by an earthquake in 1970, the population was relocated to the newly built Uchkent village.
Population
According to the 1926 census, 265 people lived in the Shamkhal-Bulak farm (130 men and 135 women), of which: Kumyks - 100% [1] .
Industry
An oil and gas condensate field of the same name is being developed in the area of the former village.
