Malawi established relations with Israel in 1964. Many African countries have frozen deep. relations with Israel in favor of friendship with the Arab countries that supplied them oil and provided financial assistance. [1] Malawi's international politics under the Hastings Gang government was one of three sub-Saharan African countries (other countries, Lesotho and Swaziland ) that continued to support full deep. relations with Israel after the Doomsday War in 1973. [1] Israel assisted Malawi with some social and economic development programs.
Modern Relationships
Israel maintains relations with Malawi on a non-resident basis. [2]
