Feature

The general designer of the metro bridge is Metrogiprotrans OJSC, the supporting structure was developed by Giprostroymost Institute OJSC, and the shell structure by Intertransstroy. The contractor for the construction of the bridge is MTF Mostotryad-4 of OJSC Mostotrest . The bridge was built from metal structures, reinforced concrete supports erected in the 1990s were used during its construction.

To ensure normal temperature and humidity conditions at the Myakinino and Volokolamskaya stations and to protect the tracks from precipitation, the new bridge was planned to be covered. The shape of the coating was to create a large rhythm for a large-span structure, eliminating the appearance of glare on the glass surface.

The shell of the bridge was supposed to be made of aluminum and glass, however, to reduce the cost of construction, the supporting metal structures were not finished with any materials.

Construction

The construction of the bridge began in the early 1990s and was stopped due to lack of funds. Then it was planned for the chord line Mitino-Butovo. At the time of the cessation of work, three capital towers were erected. Construction resumed in January 2008 .

In June 2009 , the bridge reached the opposite bank, after which it began to connect with the subway tunnels. In autumn, all the tracks were laid, along them the working movement of economic trains began. December 26, along with the section "Strogino" - "Mitino", the bridge was launched into passenger operation.
