Park “Zalizna Voda” ( ukr. Zalіzna Voda ) is a park in Lviv ( Ukraine ), a monument of landscape art of local importance (since 1984 ). Zalizna Voda Park is located between the Stus, Mishugi, Ternopolskaya and Yarlavenko streets, the New Lviv and Snopkov areas.
Here, on the northeastern slopes of the Lviv Plateau, Poltva begins. The total area of the park is 19.5 hectares. In the park you can see the outlets of marl, which are the cause of the emergence of numerous sources. The name of the park comes from the high iron content in the sources flowing in the park.
The park was founded in 1905 . In its vegetation, beech grows, there is also pine , oak , birch , poplar , willow , ornamental trees and shrubs. Here also grows an old apple orchard.
The rugged terrain, undulating hills and plateaus made it possible to create a unique green island among urban areas close to the center of Lviv.
Nearby is Snopkovsky Park .
