Biography
Together with her twin sister, Lina, she began athletics at school. At 16, she volunteered at the Olympic Games in her native London . At the same time, her own results were not high. Together with her sister, they ran a distance of 800 meters and only after moving in 2013 to coach Frank Adams tried their hand at sprint [1] .
In the debut year in the 400-meter race, Laviai improved her personal record by 4 seconds, the next season she dropped the same number (53.86) and selected for the junior world championship in the 4x400-meter relay. She helped the team reach the final, where she remained a substitute, and the UK team won bronze medals.
In 2015, she became a two- time European champion among juniors : first she won a 400-meter individual run with a score of 52.58, and then she took gold in the relay with her sister.
In the winter of 2017, at a competition in Birmingham, she set a personal record of 51.90 (faster than her summer achievement). At the European Championships in the room she finished fourth at a distance of 400 meters, and then at the last stage in the relay 4x400 meters she brought the British silver medals.
She is a student at King's College London , where she studies geography [2] .
