Biography
Eugene Maykhrovsky was born on November 12, 1938 in a circus family, his parents Bernard Vilgelmovich and Antonina Parfentievna Maykhrovsky were acrobats . In childhood, he was evacuated near Chelyabinsk. The circus became interested in 19 years [1] . In 1965 he graduated from the circus school. In 1972, he began to perform under the pseudonym May . The clown May enters the arena with his signature exclamation, “Oh, oh!”. In the repertoire of Eugene Bernardovich, along with the original reprise, including with trained animals, there are complex circus performances. In the Perm Circus he played a major role in the play "Bumbarash" based on the book by Arkady Gaidar . In 1984, in the Leningrad Circus, in the children's musical performance “The Most Happy Day” based on the story of Anton Chekhov's “ Kashtanka ”, he also played almost all the main roles. Subsequently, Yevgeny Bernardovich created his own circus “May”, in which his whole family performed: his wife Natalya Ivanovna - a clowness nicknamed Kuku, her son Boris - her stage name Bobo, her daughter Elena - Lulu, the granddaughter of Natasha - Nyusya, etc. As of 2019 continues circus activities with the show program "Lasta Rica", under the guidance of her daughter - Honored Artist of Russia Elena Maykhrovskaya.
