Rokot ( Dari رکوت ) is a village in the north-east of Afghanistan , in the province (province) Badakhshan . It is part of the Wahan region.

Geographical position
Rokot is located in the northeast of Badakhshan, in the highlands, on the left bank of the Vahandarya river, at a distance of about 235 kilometers east of the city of Fayzabad , the administrative center of Vilayat. The absolute height is 3220 meters above sea level [1] . The nearest settlements are the village of Shkhaur (upstream of the Wahandarya), the village of Archa (downstream of the Wahandarya).
Population
In 2003, the total population of the villages of Rokot and Archa was 112 people. The national composition is dominated by the Vakhans [2] .
