The village stands on the Kazanka River, 8 km northeast of the city of Arsk [1] .
History
The village has been known since 1617, until 1917 it was also mentioned under the name Karmysh Kazanbash. At the beginning of the XX century it was the center of the Karmysh volost of the Kazan district of the Kazan province . Since 1920 it became part of the Arsk canton of the TASSR . С С 10.8.1930 enters the Arsky district [1] .
According to local residents, the village is more than 700 years old. It is believed that the village was founded by two Bulgarian guys - Mollagol and Akhmat, the first inhabitants were engaged in logging, animal husbandry and crop production. It is believed that the Mari lived on the hill, but then they converted to Islam because of their common roots with the Tatar families.
About the times of the 1880s - 1910s, information was preserved about the grocery store, about several masters, in particular, about the master Zinnatul, who learned how to make agricultural implements from the Russians, his workshop has been preserved to this day. In 1891, due to a crop failure due to drought, a famine was noted in the village, an incident connected with the arson of poor Jamali of the wealthy Nogmanovs' family, as a result of which a big fire began in the village and many houses were damaged.
During collectivization, a collective farm was founded, in the apple orchard ( Tat. Alma Bakchas ) there was a collective farm apiary. A school was built (1928), a kindergarten, two mosques.
241 residents went to war, among them 8 women, 103 people did not return, among them one woman, 61 people were missing. It is known that 3 people died in captivity, 22 people were subjected to "Suslonger punishment" [ specify ] .
The post-war period. Present
After the war, the population began to grow. In 1967, the collective farm office was built.
In 1981, a new kindergarten "Camomile" was opened. In 1982, the house of culture was opened, in the same year - another store.
In 2000-2002, the main streets of the village were paved. In 2008 the house of culture was renovated, in 2015 - a school and a kindergarten.
