Armor of God: Treasure Hunt

Jack, a renowned professor of archeology at the Terracotta Army Museum in Xi'an , teams up with young Indian professor Ashmita of the Indian Royal Museum Research Institute of Rajasthan to find the lost treasure of Magadha in Tibet. Their team finds treasure under a frozen lake with the help of modern technology. However, they are interrupted by a group of mercenaries led by Randall, who steals the treasure and leaves the scientists to die. During this confusion, Jones, a member of Jack's team, who considers himself more of a treasure hunter than an archaeologist, runs away taking an artifact with a large diamond. Jack and Ashmite manage to escape from the underground ice cave through a passage hidden under water.

Two weeks later, an artifact with a 212-carat diamond is being auctioned in Dubai. To save his work, Jack is trying to return the artifact with the help of a wealthy friend. Jack wins the auction, but Randall intervenes with his thugs, resulting in a chase on high-speed cars along the roads of Dubai. At the end of the chase, Ashmit intercepts the artifact and hides with it. Jack sets off in her wake and discovers that she is not who she claims to be - she is not a professor, but the heir to the royal family of Magadha. Ashmita explains that this artifact in their family chronicles is known as the “Eye of Shiva” and is the key to hidden treasures.

She asks Jack to help her find the treasure and protect it from falling into the wrong hands. They found that the artifact is part of the scepter, which opens a room built with the help of the Vastu Shastra and the astronomical positions of that period in the closed part of the sacred temple. Randall kidnaps Jack and Ashmit and demands to find a treasure for him, because it belongs to his family. They find a room with riddles in which the wrong move can cost a living.

They reach the underground temple of Shiva, made of gold and located next to a secluded waterfall. Randall's group begins to take out gems and diamonds from temple decorations and search for treasures, but discovers that the treasures mentioned in the legend are ancient knowledge of medicine, Buddhism and much more. In desperation, Randall tries to destroy everything, but Jack, Ashmita and their team begin to fight to stop him. In the fray, Jack uses the principles of yoga and kung fu to defeat Randall and convinces him of the tremendous significance of their discovery. Meanwhile, a group of sannyasins descends through the discovered passage and see the splendor of the deity in the underground temple. They begin to sing and dance with joy. Fighting opponents, realizing the pettiness of their actions, stop fighting and join the expression of happiness.

In May 2015, at a press conference on Sino-Indian cooperation in the film industry, Jackie Chan stated that the film "Kung Fu Yoga" can be considered a sequel to the film " Myth " ^[7] . The main shootings began in September 2015. They took place in Xi'an , Dubai ^[8] , Iceland ^[9] , India and several times in Beijing ^[10] .

The film was originally planned as a joint Sino-Indian production. ^{[8] [11]} However, the Indian company Viacom 18 left production. ^{[12] [13]}

In May 2016, the shooting ended and the post-production phase began.

Distributors bought the rights to the film all over the world - in India, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, South Korea, Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, Italy, Russia, Latin America, Turkey and the Middle East ^[14] .

Nathan Wong wrote original music. The full soundtrack album was released in 2017.

The film received mixed reviews from film critics ^[15] . On the Rotten Tomatoes website , the film has a rating of 59% based on 17 reviews with an average score of 4.9 out of 10 ^[16] . On the Metacritic website , the film has a rating of 50 out of 100 based on 9 reviews from critics, which corresponds to the status of “mixed or average reviews” ^[17] .
