Biography
He graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR (1973). PhD in Law. He speaks English , Portuguese , French , Icelandic , Danish and Swedish . At diplomatic work since 1973.
- In 1996 - 1999 - Counselor-Envoy of the Russian Embassy in Brazil .
- In 1999 - 2004 - Deputy Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- From January 14, 2004 to July 7, 2009 he was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Panama [1] [2] .
- Since 2009 - Professor at the Department of International Law at MGIMO, a leading researcher at the Center for Euro-Atlantic Security.
