In 1999, with this song, Doris Dragovic won the national music festival Dora 1999 , receiving the highest scores on the total votes of the viewers and the jury of Croatia, and went to Eurovision 1999 in Jerusalem [3] . On May 29, 1999 in the finals, she performed this song, performing under the 4th number, and received 118 points from viewers, taking 4th place - the highest achievement of Croatia in the competition [4] . However, due to the fact that during live performance the recorded male choir sounded in the phonogram (and all vocal parts should be performed live, according to the rules of the competition), Croatia was subjected to sanctions. Her average mark for the last five contests has been reduced by one third. The European Broadcasting Union did not annul Croatia's results at the 1999 contest itself.

The song was recorded in Croatian (this version sounded at Eurovision) and in English. An official music video was released for the song in both languages [5] . The Russian version of the song was first recorded and performed by Philip Kirkorov in 2002, which was released on the album " Loving and Insanely Lonely ", a video was shot on it [6] .
