Phyo Min Thein (born 1969) is a Myanmar politician, city administrator of Yangon , chief minister [1] . Companion Aung San Suu Kyi , a former political prisoner. He comes from a wealthy family doing business. Through marriage, he became associated with another influential Yangon clan. His education was interrupted by imprisonment due to participation in student protests. He gained fame after Aung San Suu Kyi's visit to China , where he was introduced as a promising young leader. Member of Parliament [2] and parliamentary leader ( National League for Democracy ). The author of controversial initiatives met in society by a mixed reaction. Among them is the elimination of a large Buddhist party from the first-level political scene and the fight against street trading in Yangon in order to ensure unhindered use of sidewalks by pedestrians. The latter led to clashes between officials and merchants. He was accused of corruption , but he won the trial against the journalist who published the charges.
