Eva Anna Lentovska (Ewa Anna Łętowska; born in March 22, 1940 [1] in Warsaw ) - Polish lawyer and lawyer, civil law specialist, professor of jurisprudence (1985). Since 1985 Professor of the Institute of Law of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Corresponding Member of the Polish Academy of Knowledge (c 1996), full member of the Polish Academy of Sciences (c 2010, member of the Corps since 1997) [1] . First Polish Ombudsman (1987–1992), judge of the Supreme Administrative Court (1999–2002) and the Constitutional Tribunal of Poland (2002–2011) [1] , member of the editorial board of the journal of the Polish Academy of Sciences [1] .

Biography and career
She graduated from the Faculty of Law and Management of the University of Warsaw (in 1962). In 1963-1965 passed the judicial practice. In 1969 she became a doctor of law (according to the candidate of science of the Russian system), in 1975 - the degree of habilitated doctor of science in the field of civil law . In 1985 she received the title of professor of jurisprudence [1] . In the years 1977-1987 was the head. Department of Civil Law at the Institute of Law of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
From 1987 to 1992, she was the first ombudsman for civil rights in Poland. In 1999-2002 she was a judge of the Supreme Administrative Court . On May 28, 2002, after the nomination of the factions of the Union of Democratic Left Forces , the Polish Peasant Party and the Labor Union, she was appointed a judge of the Constitutional Tribunal of Poland [2] , holding this post for 9 years before retiring [3] .
Professor of the Institute of Law of the Polish Academy of Sciences [1] , she taught at the University of Pantheon-Sorbonne , led lectures and courses at other universities in Europe.
Has published numerous scientific papers on civil law, constitutional law and consumer protection.
